1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Terms") apply to your use of Ring for a ... ("the App"), provided by Progity ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Ring for a ... is a playful virtual bell app that lets users send quick signals or notifications between paired devices. It can be used by partners, friends, family members, roommates, and others for light, fun, and convenient signals without typing a message.

The App is not an emergency, safety, medical, security, or critical communication service.

3. Eligibility

You may use the App only in compliance with applicable laws and the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable.

If you are a minor, you should use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Pairing and Notifications

The App allows users to pair devices using a code or QR code. You are responsible for deciding who you share a pairing code or QR code with.

Once devices are paired, the App can send a "ring" notification to the other paired device. Push notifications may be delayed, blocked, or not delivered at all due to network conditions, device settings, operating system behavior, notification permissions, push notification services, battery-saving features, third-party service outages, or other factors outside our control.

You should not rely on the App when guaranteed delivery or immediate attention is required.

5. Subscriptions and Premium Features

The App may offer a free version and a Premium version. Some features may be available only in Premium.

Premium features may include removal of ads, access to all bell presets, custom rings, and an unlimited number of paired devices, depending on the current offer shown in the App.

• Premium may be provided as an automatically renewing subscription.
• The price, duration, trial availability, renewal terms, and included features are shown in the App before purchase.
• Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you purchased the subscription.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled according to the rules and deadlines of the relevant platform.
• You can cancel or manage your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings.
• Refunds are handled under the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

6. Ads

The free version of the App may contain advertisements. Premium may remove ads if ad removal is part of the current Premium offer.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. You must not:

• Use the App to harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, or otherwise harm another person.
• Spam other users or repeatedly send unwanted rings or notifications.
• Attempt to bypass limits, payment requirements, security measures, or technical restrictions.
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or damage the App, backend systems, or third-party services used by the App.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, copy, or create derivative works of the App except where this cannot be prohibited by applicable law.
• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or inappropriate purposes.

8. No Emergency Use

The App is not intended for emergency calls, safety alerts, health-related situations, crisis communication, or any other critical communication.

You must not rely on the App in situations where guaranteed, immediate, or reliable message delivery is required. In an emergency or urgent situation, use official emergency services or another appropriate communication method.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, brand, design, software, graphics, content, and related materials are owned by Progity or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services, such as Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, advertising systems, analytics or diagnostics tools, hosting providers, and push notification services.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, policies, and technical requirements. We are not responsible for third-party platforms, stores, payment systems, push services, or other services that we do not control.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected and used in connection with the App.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Progity does not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available at all times, or that every notification will be delivered, delivered immediately, or displayed as expected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection laws.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Progity is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of use, missed or delayed notifications, service interruptions, third-party service failures, or decisions you make based on use of the App.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or another legal theory. It does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.

15. Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, create risk for other users or our services, or if we are required to do so by law or platform rules.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Subscription cancellation must be handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for purchase.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country where Progity is established, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
